Reels
Short videos are great for Instagram, I created these two animated shorts in Canva.
The first video highlights a wonderful naming ceremony for one of The Calgary Climate Hub's tiny forest projects. Using photos from the ceremony, I crafted a short narrative to show off the new Blackfoot name, Pokitso'wa'ssko.
The second video's purpose is to draw attention to The Calgary Climate Hub's podcast, The Climate Lens. I clipped a short, impactful message from the full podcast, then added animated text and trees to compliment the message.
An Instagram Reel to introduce Pokitso'wa'ssko, one of the organization's tiny forests.
An Instagram Reel to highlight a great podcast episode.

Hub & Spokes Posters
Creating a grid with brand colours and populating the pathway with diverse wheelers let me create simple poster with a lot going on. Calgary's downtown roads are a strict grid, the concept for this image was to show happy people zipping through and breaking out of the grid.
For the electrified version of Hub & Spokes, I modified the event logo to be obviously electric. I kept consistency by using the same stock illustration wheelers, while also adding helmets, batteries, and more lightning bolts. I picked colours that give electric summer vibes.

Fundraising Drive 2023
Stacked, bold fonts give urgency and the bolded words grab attention. I chose a circle motif to pull attention to the center and mimic the client's logo. I drew an abstract background to add some whimsy.

A call to action for the fundraising drive.

Make It Monthly Campaign
Choosing photos from my camera allowed for a truly unique campaign and used a carefree font to convey friendliness.
I picked bright and Calgary relevant photos with careful attention to imagery:
- the Bow River symbolizes small drops of water converging to something powerful
- a yellow flower to symbolize a bright future and forward thinking
- simple ripples to convey our actions affect others
- a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly to represent positive change

Thank You Posts
A long message was stretched over three panels to keep each one simple. I made sure the interesting parts were highlighted by putting the big numbers inside graphics. This follows a theme for a corresponding booklet that is currently under construction.
